BRAND AUDIT
Brand strategy and design begin with an audit.
The brand audit is a discovery process designed to help you answer key questions necessary to develop your brand strategy and subsequent design program. The purpose of the brand audit is that you gain a competitive advantage in your market.
The audit is the first stage in brand development.
During the audit process we’ll take an objective look at your industry, your target customers, and your current brand. We’ll evaluate your core identity, market position, persona and perception. We’ll describe your desired reality and outline steps to get your brand from its current state to its new reality.
Whether or not you move forward with strategy and design program development with me, you’ll have a better understanding of your market, target your customers more effectively, and be able to make informed decisions about how to grow your brand.
Who’s the brand audit for?
I work with businesses and organizations of all sizes and stages to get clear on their purpose, discover their voice, define their values, identify their audience, and define their goals.
Whether you’re new to your industry, expanding an established brand, or redefining it, a deep-dive competitive analysis is crucial. What’s included in the brand audit?
- Workshop sessions with key stakeholders via web conference or in person, if local
- Assessment of current core identity (vision, mission, values) and persona
- Assessment of your industry and most viable audience
- Assessment of current brand perception and messaging
- Assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT)
- One brand summary of your current position, desired future, differentiation factors, and brand road map.
How long does the brand audit take?
Generally, the brand audit requires a minimum of 4 weeks. Depending upon the size of your business or organization, it can take up to 6 weeks. The availability of your stakeholders to participate in the audit workshops is key to streamlining the process.
How much does it cost?
The amount you invest in your brand audit process depends on the size and structure of your business or organization, and length of time in business.
